Stephani Carlson is Instructor of Oboe at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she teaches applied oboe, chamber music, the double reed component of woodwind methods, History of Western Music, and Women in Music. She holds the Doctor of Music Arts and Master of Music degree from the University of Georgia, where she studied oboe with Dwight Manning and Reid Messich. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio, as student of Elizabeth Camus. She currently performs with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony and with the Concordia Wind Quintet, which has performed for thousands of K-12 students through the Minnesota Public Radio Class Notes Artists program. She has also performed with Symphony Orchestra Augusta and the GAMAC Chamber Orchestra, among others. In addition to her work at Concordia, she has served on the faculty of the Atlanta Music Academy, the Encore! Music Camps, and the International Music Camp.
