Staci Spring leads a versatile career as a professional bassoonist, educator, and arts advocate. She
performs frequently as an orchestral and chamber musician, maintains a private bassoon studio, and teaches at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Lee
University, and Chattanooga State. Other activities include teaching at the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts, serving as the Competition Director
for the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition, and participating on the Community Arts Team for the Kennedy Center’s Any Given Child initiative in Chattanooga. Previous
experience includes teaching at Stephen F. Austin State University, performing with the Stone Fort Wind Quintet, and co-founding the Key City Winds. She has performed with numerous professional orchestras throughout the southern states, and performed at the International Double Reed Society, Texas Music Educators Association, and National Flute Association conventions.
