Atlanta-based flutist Sarah Kruser Ambrose enjoys an extremely diverse career as a performer and educator. She is currently principal flute of the Atlanta Chamber Winds and a core member of the Bent Frequency, an Atlanta-based contemporary music ensemble. She is frequently engaged with the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra and has performed with Macon Symphony as well as the Milwaukee Symphony, Carrolton, Columbus, and Augusta Opera Orchestras. Her playing can be heard on the Albany and Summit recoding labels.
Mrs. Kruser Ambrose received her Bachelors, graduating magna cum laude, from Northwestern University where she was a student of Walfrid Kujala and Richard Graef and her Masters from The Chicago College of Performing Arts where she was a student of Matheiu Dufour. She is currently Artist Affiliate of Flute at Georgia State University where she teaches applied flute and coaches chamber music.
