Rita Fandrich

Pianist Rita Fandrich has appeared as soloist and collaborative musician at festivals, conferences
and summer clinics throughout the United States. In a long career as artist-teacher at Florida
Southern College, Lakeland, she nurtured many young pianists who won top prizes in state and
national competitions. She received training at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in her native
Ohio and holds music degrees from Cornell College of Iowa and Indiana University,
Bloomington. She pursued the doctorate in performance and literature at the University of
Colorado, Boulder. Active in professional organizations, she has served on state and national
executive boards, and as Professor Emerita, she continues in the profession as a private teacher,
collaborative artist and adjudicator.
