Pamela Ajango

Pamela Ajango

Oboist Pamela Ajango is a member of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Instructor of Oboe at Butler University. She performs regularly on recordings for Alfred, FJH, and Hal Leonard Publishers. Ms. Ajango also plays for Broadway Across America productions. She is a founding member of The Circle City Wind Quintet, comprised of members of the Indianapolis Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. Ms. Ajango’s career began in New York City in 1996. While in New York, she performed on recordings, in Broadway pit orchestras, and as an extra with the orchestras of New York, New Jersey, Orpheus, and others. She has been a substitute musician with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for the past 16 years. Ms. Ajango studied with Malcolm Smith, Ralph Gomberg, Joseph Robinson, and Stephen Taylor. She received her degrees from Boston University and the Manhattan School of Music.

The Midwest Oboe Collective, will perform a delightful collection of oboe, english horn and mixed double reed quartets. Members are: Pamela Ajango, Instructor of Oboe, Butler University; John Dee, Professor of Oboe, University of Illinois; Lisa Kozenko, Professor of Oboe, Ball State University; and Courtney Miller, Professor of Oboe, University of Iowa.
