Maria Rzhevskaya

Maria Rzhevskaya

Maria was born in the countryside in Russia. In childhood she researched Cossack songs and had been thinking about a career of being an instrumentalist, but didn’t have the opportunity to realize that. She initiated to engage in music a bit later than usual, beginning oboe at the Krasnodar musical college. As a chamber musician, she was awarded prizes for several competitions under the direction of professor Adil Fyodorov.  Maria has gained excellent experiences with Dmitry Bulgakov at the II Moscow International Gnessin Summer School, and also has attended master classes by Petr Fedkov, Tomasz Miczka, Gregor Witt, Maria Sournatcheva, Alessandro Baccini, Celine Moinet, Domenico Orlando, and Ivan Podyomov. In 2017 – 2018 she served at the orchestra of Academic Glinka Capella. Maria plays on a Josef oboe, 20th anniversary model.
