Glenn Einschlag began his appointment as Principal Bassoonist of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in 1999. As a soloist, Mr. Einschlag has appeared with the Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Erie Chamber Orchestra, among others. He has played chamber music with the Roycroft Music Festival, the Arizona Musicfest Chamber Players, and the Wooden Cities Contemporary Ensemble, as well as festivals such as Aspen, Tanglewood, Spoleto (USA), and Domaine Forget (Canada). He can be heard on the Beau Fleuvo, Naxos, and EMI recording labels. Currently, Mr. Einschlag is a faculty member at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory in Toronto and the Department of Music in the State University of New York at Buffalo. He attended The Juilliard School, The Curtis Institute of Music, and the Rice University and studied with Harold Goltzer, Marc Goldberg, Bernard Garfield, William Winstead, Norman Herzberg, and Ben Kamins.
