Bassoonist Genevieve Beaulieu is from Holland, Michigan and is a member of Midland, Traverse, and Holland Symphony Orchestras. She performs with other ensembles across the state, including Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and West Michigan symphonies, and is an Artist-in-Residence with the Taneycomo Festival Orchestra. Genevieve is an active chamber musician as a member of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra Woodwind Quintet and Taneycomo Winds. In 2015, Genevieve co-founded Duo Corcra with saxophonist Adam Briggs and the pair has performed recitals in Michigan, Missouri, Ohio. Virginia, Indiana, and Illinois. Genevieve has held faculty positions at Hope College and Michigan State University and currently maintains a large studio of private bassoon students in West Michigan. She earned her Doctorate and Master’s from Michigan State University. where she studied with Michael Kroth, and Bachelor’s from Ohio State University, where she studied with Karrie Pierson.
