Dana Milan received a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from the Catholic University of America, a Master of Music in instrumental accompanying from Florida State University, and a DMA in vocal accompanying and coaching from the University of Illinois, where she studied with John Wustman. She has been on staff at several colleges in the Indianapolis area and for the past 5 years served as staff accompanist and adjunct professor for the University of South Florida. She has worked with numerous opera companies including the Indianapolis Opera, St. Petersburg Opera, and the Utah Festival Opera. Other past experiences include being the recital accompanist for the Wildacres Flute Retreat in North Carolina for four summers. As an active collaborator, Dr. Milan has performed in venues around the world including Indiana, Illinois, Florida, North Carolina, and overseas in Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The summer of 2018 she attended the Assisi Music Festival in Italy and performed numerous recitals with Dr. Kyoung Cho, Dr. Won Cho and students from USF. Besides piano, Dr. Milan earned a performance certificate in harpsichord from Florida State and continued her studies on harpsichord and organ at the University of Illinois. Currently she serves as choir director and organist at Lutz Community Church.
