Oboe

Claire Brazeau is the Principal Oboe of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. As an emerging soloist, this season she performed concertos by Martinu, Strauss, Mozart, and Bach in the United States and Europe. Claire is an active studio musician and has recorded several major motion picture and television soundtracks. She was awarded finalist of the International Gillet Fox Oboe Competition. Claire is part of the faculty of the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University Long Beach. Deeply committed to music education, Claire frequently serves as guest clinician at numerous youth orchestras and is a faculty member at the YOLA National Festival. Under the tutelage of Allan Vogel, Claire received an Artist Diploma from The Colburn School. At Bard College and Conservatory she earned a triple major with a Bachelor of Arts in East-Asian studies and Piano, and a Bachelor of Music in Oboe.
